FolioSketch Privacy Policy

LBWD Media LLC (“LBWD Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the FolioSketch application (“FolioSketch” or the “App”) and related FolioSketch services and websites.

FolioSketch is designed as a music workspace for creating and organizing music sketches, importing and annotating scores, working with ChordPro files, creating set lists, and using music during rehearsal and performance.

1. Information You Provide to FolioSketch

FolioSketch allows you to create, import, edit, organize, and store information such as:

  • Music sketches and annotations
  • PDF music and documents
  • ChordPro files and content
  • Music book titles and metadata
  • Composer and arranger information
  • Categories, tags, and notes
  • Set lists
  • Performance information
  • Ensemble and performer information
  • Other files or information that you choose to add to the App

This content is used to provide the features of FolioSketch.

FolioSketch does not operate a public music repository, community catalog, or music-sharing service. LBWD Media does not provide a cloud service for hosting or distributing your personal music library.

2. Files and Device Storage

FolioSketch may access files or folders that you explicitly choose through Android's system file and document selection features.

Depending on the features you use, this may include supported files located in device storage or made available through compatible document providers, such as cloud-storage applications installed on your device.

FolioSketch does not request broad access to all files on your device.

The App uses its private application storage for internal information such as application data, databases, caches, thumbnails, temporary files, generated content, imported working data, and other files required to operate FolioSketch.

When you explicitly select a file or folder, Android may grant FolioSketch permission to continue accessing that selected location as necessary to provide the feature you requested.

3. Analytics

FolioSketch uses Google Firebase Analytics to help LBWD Media understand how the App is used and improve its functionality.

Analytics may collect technical and usage information automatically, including information about the App, device, operating system, application sessions, and interactions with enabled analytics features.

LBWD Media may also record limited application events to understand whether particular FolioSketch features are being used.

FolioSketch does not intentionally include the contents of your music, PDFs, ChordPro songs, annotations, notes, set lists, or other user-created document content in custom analytics events.

Advertising ID collection has been disabled for FolioSketch.

Analytics information is processed through Google Firebase. Google's handling of information is subject to Google's applicable privacy terms and policies.

4. Crash Reporting

FolioSketch uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical problems.

When FolioSketch crashes or encounters certain technical failures, Crashlytics may automatically receive diagnostic information such as:

  • App version
  • Device and operating-system information
  • Crash information
  • Stack traces
  • Technical state associated with the failure

We use this information to diagnose problems, improve reliability, and fix defects.

FolioSketch does not intentionally attach your music, document contents, annotations, or other user-created music content to Crashlytics reports.

5. Advertising

FolioSketch does not currently display third-party advertising.

FolioSketch has disabled Firebase Analytics Advertising ID collection.

If advertising practices change in a future version of FolioSketch, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

FolioSketch may offer paid features, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases through Google Play.

Google Play processes purchases and payment information. LBWD Media does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.

FolioSketch may use a subscription and purchase-management provider to determine purchase status and which FolioSketch features you are entitled to use. Information necessary to validate and manage purchases may therefore be processed by Google Play and our purchase-management provider.

The specific purchase and subscription implementation will be reviewed and this section updated, if necessary, before FolioSketch's production release.

7. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect Through Your Music Library

LBWD Media does not operate servers for uploading or storing your FolioSketch music library.

We do not intentionally collect the contents of your:

  • PDF scores
  • ChordPro songs
  • Music sketches
  • Handwritten annotations
  • Imported images
  • Set-list music
  • Personal music library

simply because those materials are stored in or used with FolioSketch.

Files you choose to store with an independent cloud-storage provider are subject to that provider's privacy practices.

8. Sharing and Exporting Files

FolioSketch may allow you to export supported files, books, set lists, backups, or other FolioSketch content.

You decide where exported content is saved or how it is distributed using the applications and services available on your device.

LBWD Media does not operate a public FolioSketch content-distribution service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate rights to store, use, copy, export, or distribute content you use with FolioSketch.

9. Third-Party Services

FolioSketch may interact with services provided by third parties, including:

  • Google Play
  • Google Firebase Analytics
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics
  • Android system document providers
  • Storage providers or applications that you choose to use
  • Purchase and subscription-management services used by FolioSketch

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

LBWD Media does not control the privacy practices of independent third-party applications or services.

10. Data Retention

Information stored locally by FolioSketch generally remains on your device until you delete it, remove it through FolioSketch, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App, subject to the behavior of Android, backups, and any external storage provider you choose to use.

Analytics, crash-reporting, purchase, and related technical information processed by third-party service providers may be retained according to those providers' policies and the settings configured by LBWD Media.

11. Data Security

LBWD Media takes reasonable measures to design FolioSketch so that user content remains appropriately isolated and protected.

FolioSketch uses Android's application-private storage for internal application data and Android's system file-selection mechanisms for accessing user-selected files and folders.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children's Privacy

FolioSketch is a general-purpose music application and is not specifically directed to children.

We do not knowingly use FolioSketch to solicit personal information from children.

If we learn that personal information has been collected in a manner requiring deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.

13. Your Choices

Depending on how you use FolioSketch, you can control your information by:

  • Choosing which files or folders FolioSketch may access
  • Removing content from FolioSketch
  • Managing files through your device or selected storage provider
  • Managing Google Play purchases and subscriptions through Google Play
  • Uninstalling FolioSketch

Additional privacy controls may be provided as FolioSketch develops.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as FolioSketch changes, new features are introduced, service providers change, or legal and regulatory requirements evolve.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App, website, store listing, or other appropriate means.
